World Trade Center

Remember the 911 Terrorist attack in 2001? I was only 13 years old, first time heard the news, I thought it’s a prank.

Then only realize, life is so short. We spent a lot effort to build up something, but it took very short time to destroy it…

Thanks to Google Earth new feature, Timeline, allow me to view old satellite image.

TV3 Jom Heboh

My first time to join Jom Heboh event, thanks Yung Fu who provided me this chance, in the time I need $$ the most~

It’s a carnival-like event organized by TV3 few times a year at different locations in Malaysia. A 2 days event, which will attract thousands of visitors, especially Malay. I noticed a lot of my Chinese friend don’t know about this event… Maybe Chinese don’t watch TV3, ha.

I was working with Lady Choice, as a crew, a.k.a. kuli. Job scope include carry things, packing, control hygiene, sometimes need to process food some more… Really tired, but gain some experience~
From what I observed, their marketing strategy is to attract kids, then adults. But not exactly true. Various games were designed to play with kanak-kanak (kids), like hula hop, shuffle for young teenagers, puzzle, sandwich workshop etc.

This Jom Heboh is organized at Batu kawan stadium, Penang. Shitty stadium which underutilize.

Not to mentioned all Lady Choice’s stuff got 2 nights to stay in Summit Hotel, Bukit Mertajam. wahahahaha~

After event:
1. I think I got minor sunburned after working outdoor for long hours.

2. And hor, very very disappointed with their toilet, don’t want to talk about how terrible is the toilet experience, yuck!!!!!

3. I skipped 1 day class…… shit.

4. What I like most is after 12 hours of work, and soaked inside hotel bathtub with hot water~wahaha

中秋节

感觉上很“节日用事”，但这一天却是让我想起好多事情。

一年前的中秋节和谁一起吃月饼度过（算是吧），那一幕还很清晰。明明就是记忆力差，考试时什么都被不好，但这些小事情就记得很清楚。

最后学年的实习，得到了人生真材实料努力赚回来的工钱，虽然不多，但也够买1盒月饼，用Pos Laju寄回给家人。

当爸爸收到时，回了我一则短讯，（有一点肉麻，不写了。）简讯的最后一句：“小公司，学做事；大公司，学做人。”想应该是他在外面跑多年的终结论吧。

公公婆婆说：“你不用浪费钱买这些月饼，都没用的~又甜到要命”，可是妈妈告诉我，吃最多的是公公婆婆。果然是嘴硬到要命。

感谢永福送我2个月饼(教做Assignment骗到的），还有Karen送给我们的Sambal月饼，自己也买了2个芋头口味的。一个送人了，剩下的都整家housemate一起分掉了，不错不错~

Malaysia F1 GP, it's hot, but cool!

I used to be the one who don't like F1, because I don't like it to be call sport. Sport should be some activity or games that everyone can play, not only those selected drivers, with a million dollar super machine. I do agree that skill is important, but what they competing, is technology, that's what I thought. However, I do impressed by the technology.

Thanks to Aaron who invited me, with Ramesh and Soon Keat, so first time I stepped into Malaysia F1 Sepang Circuit. The event was a 3 days event, and crazically, we went for all 3 days.

The first day is actually practice session, and the entrance is FREE.

Petronas invested in this Ski-Doo, something that impossible to use in Malaysia. Weird.

Ferrari Collection. I can just say, all merchandises are overrated. Luckily I am fan of neither one, hoohoo. Aaron bought 1 shirt, but sadly we said it looks like from Petaling Street.

Mercedes McLaren. One day I will own this... model car.

This is just part of the fever of F1. These peoples are not queuing for tickets or drinks, but for driver's autograph! The queue is at least 200 meters.믿어요! It's just the first day!

The first day was practice session, so the crowd is the least. We are freely to enter any seats to watch the show.

First session is GP2, here it is:

Top speed around 200km/h, oh... so so only. The engine noise is just slightly more than those Mat Rempit's bike.

This is really pumping in Adrenaline into my blood! When the car passed by, I can feel my heart beat increase, and the excitement of the environment, is really really great. Now I understand why those Mat Salleh (foreigners) willing to spend thousands dollars just for a match!

Day 2: The Qualifying Day

This is the ticket looks like. Consider very lucky, I just paid for RM100, and got Grand Stand seat, worth RM500~ Sponsored ticket actually, by QuestNet.

Entering the circuit. Everyone will go through a bag check, to prevent visitors from bringing in water and food. If you want anything, buy in there with price 400 to 500% higher.

"Thanks" for remind us, bullshit.

It was Aaron's idea to reach at 10am, just for an autograph session with Ferrari drivers. (He is really mad towards F1 Ferrari, when he talks about it, will feel so excited and jumping)

It's so hot.

"Where is Schumaker?", I asked.

That is very lame. Only that time I realized that guy already retired few years ago. I am seriously not F1 fan, and never watch F1, and know nothing about drivers etc. Just interested with the car.

So the latest Ferrari drivers are Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa. Dumbly, we queued under the hot sun for 2 hours, from 10am to 12pm, and rewarded with Kimi's autograph and sunburn.

(I was the last one!! The people behind me has no chance to reach Ferrari~)

First time I saw Segway in Malaysia~ It is another cool vehicle that balance on 2 wheels arranged side by side and automatic balance itself.

Asked from the Salesgirl to try it, yea~!

Just lean forward, pull backward, and navigate left and right, easy~

My skin can be peeled off, layer by layer.

The race was at 5pm, so we went home at 1pm, and went back there at 4pm.

Ferrari is like Manchester United, the supporters and game results are so fixed and predictable... but no more. A new team, Brawn GP, has pwned all the others easily. It's qualifying match, not that excited, but the engine's sound has made me feel high.

Day 3

The race was at 5pm. We knew it will have a jam, so we departed at 3:30pm, but still caught in the jam for 1 hour.

This said: don't buy Proton. The girl was so nervous, jumping, while the men are so frustrated. Sorry guys.

The weather was cloudy, and forecasted will have a thunder rain. We reached there 30 minutes after the race started. Damn the traffic jam.

See this corner, the car started to drift, means the road is getting wet. Rain is coming. 

The sky.... Finally, it rained.

Water being splashed up~ The race still going on initially. See the people at the hill there? Rain is nothing!

But the rain getting heavier, and was forced to terminate, the winner will be based on immediate result, which is this:

After the race ended, so push the car back into the workshop.

So this is my weekend, very happening, not to mention I still have 2 exam papers the next day.

Thanks Aaron for asking me to join the game, I have new perspective towards this 'sport'. Really impress that human can create such technology, and the most impressive, driven by human.

One day trip to Korea

Early morning follow Kok Ming and KLS to this little small Town, call Little Korea. Located in Ampang, I never realize there is such community in Malaysia, that can let me REALLY feel in Korea!

The shopkeepers are Korean;
The people who passed by me is Korean;
The lady who served our lunch is Korean;
The men chat at roadside with Hangul;
The posters and flyers on the wall are in Hangul;
The shops' name are all in Hangul;

(except the car still Malaysia's number plate)

This is the shop we first visited. I guess the Korean shopkeeper already get used with monkeys like us who say: "wow" to biscuit...

(because most of their products are imported from Korea)

All products are written in Hangul. 

I thought Milo also has Korean version... Ha, 미로~

Hungry, so bought a pack of biscuit. Erm, it's a kind dry noodle snack.

After that walk awhile, saw a lot of:

• English Language Center (must be for those Korean to learn English)
• Restaurants are everywhere.
• Mini marts.

We ate our lunch in a restaurant, call 무진장 (Mu Jin Jang). Guess we are the first customers of the day, and last customer of the month. Just weird why no people come this little town.

In the restaurant. All their menu written in Hangul, I can read it, just don't know what the hell is it. Lucky the waitress served us menu with photos. (noted: she is Korean too, luckily can speak basic English)

Ordered something I don't know. "I want something not spicy".

Here it is: Beef + vege + egg + rice + don't know + sauce

Without mention, they will serve together other small dishes of food, like fried vege, kimchi, etc. Nice nice~

2 of us have to finish so much food. Wow.

It's quite satisfy for the meal, feel worthy with the RM63.

We had to leave earlier, so  informed the KLS, bought some gifts, and leave.

Favorite~ Don't plan to drink it, just display it on my computer~

Restaurant is quiet, good place for couple. Nice place for Korea lover.
