World Trade Center

Remember the 911 Terrorist attack in 2001? I was only 13 years old, first time heard the news, I thought it’s a prank.

Then only realize, life is so short. We spent a lot effort to build up something, but it took very short time to destroy it…

Thanks to Google Earth new feature, Timeline, allow me to view old satellite image.

VHanded is PR2 now!

Realize that I stop writing s-p-o-n-s-o-r-e-d  p-o-s-t?

Just because my blog was growing too slow to catch up with PPP popularity. While my blog still PR (N/A), they already targeting PR1 and above.

So, after I earn enough money to get my skates, I quit, temporary or permanently I not sure, so I just make this a pure blog, write what I like.

After I reformatted my PC, I didn't install Google Toolbar, and forgot about monitoring my PageRank. Until today, I install a plugin from Firefox extension website, then I found that my blog was PR2!!

Miracle!
From the history of monitoring it, it remains PR(N/A) for a year,  P/R 0 for a month, then continue PR(N/A). I sick of it, assume Google blacklisted me, which I also not sure what is the reason. For your information, my blog is 1 and half years old.

Triple Confirm
From www.prchecker.info, pr.blogflux.com, www.digpagerank.com, all return PR2. I know Google won't do that to me~

Page Rank

Currently I won't write s-p-o-n-s-o-r-e-d  p-o-s-t.

Thanks to all visitors and bloggers and friends and anonymous that make this happen~! I know a lot of sites out there already ranked PR 3 or 4, sorry for my overreacting here, I am just over excited with this sudden score.

Sorry have to write so many "-" in between, heard that Google Spider is sensitive with those words.

What is PageRank (PR)?
In case you don't know, PR is a Google way of ranking to rank the websites in their indexes, with a scale of 0 to 10, by the number of links as votes to your site.

More about PageRank Algorithm, see here.

Can you believe this? In Area 51.

Area 51, I believe many people heard of the conspiracy theories of this facilities. Located at Neveda, US, this Area 51 always been related with alien technology reverse engineering facilities, ultimate weapons labs, UFO landing zone, life recreation technology, time travel technology etc.

Due to the top secret weapon invention and testing lab, so no people allow to enter, or fly over, so after decades, people created this kind of imagination.

However...
Just North West of Area 51, there is a big weird thing: it's not alien's UFO, not latest jet fighter, not President Bush. See it:

Easy way to check hexadecimal arithmetic

Last few days I am busy for Machine Architecture Lab Test, busy busy.

What is Machine Architecture?
An art to teach you how to talk with the piece of silicon, damn!

During the study, I encounter a time wasting process, which is doing hexadecimal arithmetic operation. In human way, 5+5 = 10; in hexadecimal way, 5 + 5 = A !!!!!

So I Google for some program to do hex math, and I found Google Calculator is the most easiest to access and simplest, and the best part, fast and free!

What is Google Calculator?
Good, you using it everyday, just didn't notice. It's actually combined with Google search.

google math

See this magic.

google math 2
0x5 + 0x5 =? Press Enter.
(0x5 is actually 5h in our syllabus, means hexadecimal form.)

google math 3
  Answer is 0xA~~

It also can do other operation like subtraction, multiplication, and division. At least enough for my current syllabus.

How about conversion?
google math 4
No problem! With the syntax like HEX=?DECIMAL.

google math 6
The other way, no problem too. reverse the syntax.

google math 7
Multiple operations can be handled too.

Lab test was over, final paper is coming, hope this "exploration" can help my friends in their study. But careful, before use this tools, please make sure you know how to do manual arithmetic and conversion, there won't be any Google in exam hall to help you.

full Google Calculator instruction can see here, beside this simple maths, it also can use to convert physic quantity like speed; math function like modulus(%) and factorial(!).

Gmail Theater: Why Use Gmail? Funny and Creativity

Why use Gmail? I have been using it for 3 years, the first impression that Gmail gave me is the ultra large 1GB storage(it's an huge amount at 3 years ago). And now, it storage expanded to 2.9GB, and still growing.

Now, since all e-mail service providers already provided GB storage, but I still using Gmail. There must be other reasons for me to use it.

Watch the video from Gmail engineers: Why Use Gmail?

Other reasons for me to choose Gmail, is the interface design. No other e-mail providers can provide such clean and no large and annoying Flash advertisements around the screen, I really hate those stupid advertisements, especially in Hotmail and Yahoo!

I also love the shortcut key from Gmail, which save lots of my time. See here for the shortcut key.

So why still waiting? Go to www.Gmail.com to get a Gmail account!

Can't get what you want on Google? Try Google Blogsearch.

I believe most people seldom use this search engine. Google Blogsearch, or http://blogsearch.google.com is a search engine from Google(yes, Google again), but not to search every crab and product selling and advertisements, but more quality content from bloggers.

Same like Google Web Search, Blogsearch also contains some simple and helpful features like advance blog search. Some info, for example "Vista launch in Low Yat" , if you type it in Google Web Search, what you will get for the first result is definitely Microsoft Malaysia website, then is Lowyat site, and other popular site, the information is more general. But if you search it in Blogsearch, you will get the information that more based on personal experience.

Ok, enough for Vista. How about search for hostel around your dream college? By Google it, you will just get info of the college. and about other bullshit information. Try blogsearch, people's personal experience will tell you how to find hostel or apartment around there.

Play around with it, you will love it.
