Had been to this place many times. Even I just sit at the corner looking at the trees, the children running, I will feel relax too.

The Malay father is teaching his small son to play skateboarding on the slopes. This seldom happen in Chinese family, who overly protect their children… Lucky my family gave me a lot freedom to do anything I like.

No plastic bag, no no no.

Went for a huge shopping with family at Jusco Seberang perai.

My family has a weird trend, we only shop once a month, or every 2 months. So for every “stock buying” day, the trolley will be filled until it is full.

Maybe was in Cyberjaya for too long, I don’t know that the whole Penang is having a very large scale anti plastic bag campaign, participated by all major hypermarkets. All the items in trolley being carry home without taking any plastic bag.

If want plastic bag, pay 20 cents lo~ Since 6th July 2009, every Monday is no plastic day, and saved more than 1,000,000 plastic bags. (The day we went is not Monday, maybe they expanded the days)

Haven’t update here for some times, due to my faithful laptop who already served me for 5 years ‘retired’.

Tuna Ass Fly for RM10. What is that? Saw it in Krico supermarket.

This is my favourite picture! In Krico, every Monday is “No Plastic Bag Day”. If customer insists want plastic bag, go buy from service counter for RM0.20 per piece. When do other Hypermarket giant like Jusco, Carrefour, Tesco implement this?

Quite a free semester break, no need to wait for result release like playing lottery.

Friday, my dad came from Penang down to Selangor for business matter, and spent some time to have super-early dinner with me at 5pm.

Every time he come Cyberjaya, we will eat at the same shop at Arif, Street Mall. Next time I shall bring him somewhere special.

Brought a lot of stuff for me:

Extra food that put at home for so long time, a shirt, an extra sport shoe etc.

Youth Park, Penang

I can't remember last time I been there. Although as a Penangite, I will get lost easily on the island. The only mall I know how to reach by driving, is only Queensbay Mall, sad right?

One morning during sem break, while fetching my grandma to have physiology exercise at NASAM, me and my brother drove to Youth Park, which is just beside the NASAM center.

extreme game rink. This is the park that inspire me to skate, then I realize my skate's type is not suitable for it.

Last time while still schooling, my dad used to brought us here, having fun climbing those metal bars, playing "chu chu pan", now study in U, and they getting busier, then I never been here before.

How nice if we can travel in time... but current time is not that bad too, feel grateful for everything.

NASAM

My grandma had stroke attack few months ago. The strike caused her left side can't operate well, include left arms, left legs, left face muscles etc. So hurt to see her can't do anything.

We found an association in Penang island, name NASAM, or National Stroke Association of Malaysia. It's a non-profit organization to help stroke patients to be independent, and to recover -- partially, if not fully.

The association is run by a group of volunteers and trainees, from universities around Malaysia. Some volunteers are dance and aerobic trainers.

We sent grandma over there every morning, to undergo the recovery training.

The leader of the training activities. He is demonstrating simple activities like stretching, expanding arms, breathing, carry items etc.

Volunteers are leading the patients to dance with them.

What is Stroke?
Stroke is the dead of brain cells, caused by blockage of vessels in brain, thus cut off the oxygen transportation to the brain cells, and cause permanent damage.

The damage caused certain parts of body not functioning, and need further rehabilitation to regain their living skills as much as possible.

I can't do anything for it, just pray everything will be fine.

The worst Weekend

Last Friday, I went back Penang. Reached after 5 hours of journey.

The next day, I went hospital to visit my grandma. She got stroke. The time we reached there, she was sleeping. Aunt woke her up, but she can't sit up herself, I have to help her up.

Her case is minor stroke if compare to others, but quite serious. She can't move all parts of her left side, like limbs etc. She still can speak, but unclear. I don't know what to say to her.

I still remember last month, she was so healthy, aged 75++, but still able to walk, cook, manage plants, work, etc.

I am scare. I know something is inevitable. Grandpa told me, now his hope is to see me graduate and visit 2nd Penang bridge with grandma.

This is one of the weakness I have. I afraid of losing.

Chinese New Year Post!!!

Dong Dong Dong Chiang~ Happy Chinese New Year to all my friends!! (I keep saying this many times, but still feel that is a necessary  to greet everyone~)

I didn't blog for the whole week, as I am busying, you know la~ Here I will write some special moments I have in the last week:

Bai Nian to my house:
A bunch of friends came to my house Bai Nian ( visit each other in Chinese New Year ).

And busy around, I didn't take enough photos, and didn't prepare enough KTV songs for you all to sing, paiseh~

Alice open house:
Alice moved to new house~ Same bunch of friends went and "help" her finish up her food. Em hem, I know.

First Sushi King:
Don't laugh la, this is really my first time in Sushi King~ With Chin Chieun (where the hell you been for so long time?), Choo Sun, and Chee Cheng(kicap).

Watch movie with Yue Wen~
Never thought got this chance, haha. But together with Wei Wen. We watch Kung Fu Dunk, Jay is too cool!

Why my hand so straight?

 

First movie with family in my entire life!
While someone may already have many chance to watch movie with parents and family since standard 1 or 2, but I got the chance only when I am 19. We watch CJ7 by Stephen Chow, damn funny~

Conclusion: This CNY is a special one, so many memories, although some discovery made me so sad.

An Ampang Weekend

I went to Ampang last weekend, and I skipped the fund-raising event and my study time, because my parents coming down to KL, and I never see my grandpa and grandma for so long time~

Actually is to attend a far far relative's wedding, which is my grandpa's sister's brother's daughter's wedding.... I don't know how to describe the relation...

In Chinese tradition, the parents' of the marry couple will book a hall or restaurant, and invite friends and relatives to have a feast, to enjoy and celebrate together. The dishes are following the same 1-by-1 serving concept, and I found the food that can't be finished was so wasted! I try to eat at much as I can, but there are still so many, pity to see those creatures who being serve on table, but end up in dustbin. So jealous with the couples, when will mine appear?

Almost in every wedding dinner, bride will got a lot of comment, like: "Work hard" for a baby, form a football team family, all related with baby... is like turning the bride into baby machine.

I admit I am not the first time to been here, especially KLCC, I been there so many times and lost count now, but my dad and both grandparents are the first time been here, as they are working in Penang, plus crazy busy work. Mom is not coming, need to in charge the business and work flow...
