Green Green Green!

Today is the last day of Green Club's Green Week, yea!

I am totally GREEN for today, from green contact lens, green shirt, to green under (er...), and doing green job. I am GREEN. Trying to take a photo of green contact lens, but very not obvious in photo. But just for today, as the lens is 1 day use only, free sample, and also my first soft lens experience.

Realize that I never post anything about this Green Week, so here I will briefly talk about it. Actually this Green Week is to promote Green Club to the campus, and based on the theme 3R Campaign, which is Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle.

For the past few days we collected a huge amount of recyclable items like paper, plastic bottles, CDs and aluminum cans, from our booth at Central Plaza, lecturers at respective faculty offices, and also fellow students who stay in hostel block.

I felt the coolest part of this campaign is the Petition.

Besides, the few hundreds kg of recyclable items is still the best thing we did. (Sorry forgot to take photo of it)

Very tired, still need to do recycle after class until late. See this 2 boys who still don't grow up, so happy~

Save our planet, reuse, reduce, recycle.

Youth Park, Penang

I can't remember last time I been there. Although as a Penangite, I will get lost easily on the island. The only mall I know how to reach by driving, is only Queensbay Mall, sad right?

One morning during sem break, while fetching my grandma to have physiology exercise at NASAM, me and my brother drove to Youth Park, which is just beside the NASAM center.

Last time while still schooling, my dad used to brought us here, having fun climbing those metal bars, playing "chu chu pan", now study in U, and they getting busier, then I never been here before.

How nice if we can travel in time... but current time is not that bad too, feel grateful for everything.

Mandarin -- Most Native Speakers Language

I just updated my knowledge about the most widely native used language in the world. Guess what? Is mandarin!

While my all-time-favorite secondary language, English is rank world no.3, unbelievable? Maybe, I don't have real travel experience, not sure most what most people around the world is speaking. So this discovery make me feel proud, as I can speak and write Mandarin, fluently!~

Malay as my country -- Malaysia's national language, is ranked 53. And I admit my worst language is Malay, no offence.

Here is the list of language according to number of native speakers:

1. Mandarin
2. Spanish
3. English
4. Hindi-Urdu
5. Arabic
6. Portuguese
7. Bengali
8. Russian
9. Japanese
10. German
11. Punjabi
12. Wu
13. Javanese
14. Telugu
15. Marathi
16. Vietnamese
17. Korean
18. Tamil
19. French
20. Italian
...
...
...
53. Malay
...
...
...

我会讲华语~

Wow, number's of languages in the world are so many. Will globalization kill those less-used languages in the future? It's up to the race to protect their own language.

Take Note:
This list is the language base on the most widely used native language, means the language that used as primary language.

Mandarin estimated has 882 million native, 178 million as secondary language, total = 1.05 billion.

While English estimated 375 million native, 1125 million as secondary language, total = 1.5 billion.

If counted with secondary language, English is still the world most widely used CURRENTLY.

Today's Quote:
It's up to us to protect our language, if you don't, your language will be forgotten.

My Summary of 2007

So fast, just a close of eyes, 1 year or 365 days, passed. This year is not very very remarkable year, as some of my wishes not yet achieve. However, it's consider the highest achievement I been.

Here goes the Train, from January to December...

  1. January, VHanded.blogspot.com was born, while her successor, VHanded.space.live.com was abandoned, due to it's low flexibility towards customisation and control. My blog is not yet 1 year old!
  2. Windows Vista Launch, I joined that Vista Hunt event at LowYat Plaza, with team name Bill Gate's Son, although not winning anything, but our team's name seems to be the hot topic~
  3. Trinite 2007: The Last Temptation, a very high cost prom night organize by MMU's club and society, and I am a small working comm in there. Due to certain ass hole people in this event, I grew stronger and smarter and knowing my own weakness. Still need to thanks to him.
  4. MMU Vista Launch, in MMU Melaka Campus, again, the event's director make me learn that: don't be a loser and cocky like him!
  5. I went to the first PC Fair in my life! At KLCC, and realise that how crowded is this city.
  6. I received my first income from blogging, very happy!
  7. My first birthday Cake since 6 years old, I think, thanks to my roommate Tjun Kit and my gang in campus... So touch, but that day I was not happy...
  8. June is the first month I move to Cyberjaya Campus after study at Melaka for Foundation for 1 year. Then I realise, Cyberjaya's living cost is so so high... I can't breath!
  9. The first time I broadcast my voice to the world, thanks to MMU DJ Club, I got the chance to be a on-air DJ. I admit that I am not a professional DJ, mainly due to my deep voice and style, but I very thankful to let me this opportunity to know myself and enjoy~
  10. Malaysia 50th Independent Day Celebration, I am one of the marching member~ Represent PIKOM, and earn RM100 allowance. This is the first time I put attention to Merdeka celebration and towards national affair.
  11. Putrajaya Boulevard Skate is so fun! This is the first time I been there to skate with Su, Hao, and Kok. I started to addict to inline skating.
  12. This is not directly related to me, but Al Gore win the Nobel Peace Prize, of course I very happy! As an environmentalist, this is a good encouragement to all of us on this planet, to love our only house before too late.
  13. My new dream machine! I name him HungryPC, a cute name, but I don't do downloading with him(I respect privacy~)
  14. Christmas Eve at Bintang make me hate KL more. some of the moralless place(and people) make me sick...
  15. My new Wife! Is actually a Seba Skate, but this is just the beginning of Slalom Skates.

New Year 2008 should be much much better than this year, and have to. Glad that my whole family and friends are in good and healthy condition now, and all the time~

I have a simple New Year wish, and I realise only me and her can make this happen...

Putrajaya Skates with Skateline

I am addicted with speed!

This morning is the Skateline community skates event held at Putrajaya Boulevard, actually is open to Skateline skate school members to test their skills, but us(me, kok, su, and How) without any relation with it(except we all are skaters) go there and join their skates.

Starting at Putrajaya Mosque, we skate along the Boulevard and come back, total length is about 6km, with skates! Walking is so slow! Skating too make greener environment, haha!

Skating is really fun, just the skates is kind of pricey, but if you serious with a hobby, money will be secondary in your consideration...(although still play a very very huge roles!)

Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize!

Former US Vice President, Al Gore, just won the Peace prize of Nobel. I knew he will get it, and he must get it, to ensure mankind future. This show that, Global Warming is no more a single person interest, is the whole world problem.

Although he won the prize, but he quickly phoned to UN(United Nation) chairman, Rajendra Pachauri, to meet up for their next steps to save this world. The original news is here.

He is one of the man who work out the most to save the world from Global Warming. With this award, the world will not just only put an eye, but to put in both hands to solve this century problems.

United States don't sign Kyoto Agreement
US as the world richest country, from outside, look so advance, actually, do you know that US is the world highest Carbon dioxide contributor to atmosphere? Due to protect the economy of US, President Bush don't sign Kyoto Agreement. Even China with so high pollution also sign it, why not you! Fuck you!

Award Winning movie
Al Gore just won an Academy Award for his film, An Inconvenient Truth. I strongly suggest everyone watch this movie, go and download it, or send me your address, I post the movie to you. The movie is so real, so close to us, so hurt.
(I am also anti privacy people, but for this I got exception)

So, before you spent another plastic bag, or thinking to left the light on for nothing, think again, the mother nature that you stepping now is crying, can you hear her?

I am trying all my best, DO NOT TAKE ANY plastic bag while buying small stuff(1.5 liter bottle and assorted biscuit tin are consider small) to turn off light when not use it, to explain to people around, which make them think I am so kiam siap to pay for 1 buck electricity... But I still doing it, one day, when people realize, I believe that.

It is difficult to get a man understand something, if his salary depends upon his NOT UNDERSTAND IT.--Upton Sinclair
