My new Year shirt~

Happy Chinese New Year to all Chinese, Malay, Indian, everyone~!!!

I believe it's a tradition to wear new shirts in a new year, to symbolise a new start, no matter you believe that symbolization, everyone will just buy new shirts, right?

I bought a jeans from PDI. It's really difficult to find a suitable shorts or 3 quarters for my size... So I gave up for those, and buy a jeans.

Suddenly in Isetan, I saw a stripe shirt, black and white like piano, very nice!!! I tried it, and it fitted me well, and it's kind of sweater type. Who wear sweater in Malaysia??!! However, Malaysia is full of air-conditioner.

The price is Rm89, same with the jeans! I put it back, and walk away... Should I buy it? Expensive wow...

My housemate, Su, told me: flip a coin.

I received my PayPal money today!

Just now, I login into my Public Bank account and check the debit/credit card section, nothing, then I just simply sleep in front my PC for 15 minutes, and when I woke up, I login into it again, everything done!

I saw the payment, feel so happy with my hard earn money, so touch~

A high exchange rate
Public Bank give me the exchange rate at 3.2974, which is high enough, compare to selling at 3 to someone you don't know!

Haha, very satisfy with the transaction time, although it is international transaction, but only 3 days since my withdrawal from PayPal on 5th December, while some Malaysia Interbank transfer need 2 or more days to transfer, stupid.

Prices increase, wages remain.

I really salute most Malaysians who still can survive under this big pressure, especially those low-mid-range families.

During the last Hari Raya festive, price of enrich wheat flour was increased, from RM1.70 to RM1.80 per kg, or RM0.10, or 10 cents, if you can't understand that amount.

OK, we Malaysians still can stand for that 10 cents, but hate those companies who never consider their customers, like Gardenia bread, which they increase the price from RM1.90 to RM2.10 per loaf of bread!

1 Pack is JUST 400g
I am a regular bread eater, with jam, butter, but mostly eat it blankly, and I prefer the market leader, Gardenia.  After the 3 weeks holiday, I realized that all Gardenia's products were increase in price. From their small bun to giant size bread, all increase prices in a very abnormal rate. Even worst, the mighty size Gardenia Bread increased 30 cents! Look like I will say NO to Gardenia bread, until they do something.

Don't say I kiam siap, I know we all can afford 20 cents, but, what they can explain for the 20 cents I paid? Give to their share holder's commission? F**K OFF!! When the price drop again, their prices never drop.

All Malaysian companies who increase price with unacceptable rate during EVERY prices increase in raw materials are so SHAMELESS!

PLUS Toll
Do consumers know that, PLUS toll profit was almost RM1.13 billion this year? See the keyword, is PROFIT, not revenue, and is BILLION, not million. So why the fu*k they want to increase the toll?! Can't they don't know how important they are on Malaysia's economy? A 50 cents increase in toll charge will trigger RM0.50 in all items!!

Worst than pig! Brainless! All just for share holder's benefit, and those country junk minister like Sami Vellu.

1 day if I pass the toll, will give them all coins, in 1 cent!

If there is no consumers, your company will die, no matter how many investors you got. We are your key to survive, not your target to slash.

Malaysian can now withdraw money from PayPal!

Wohoo!!~~ From Yung blog, he found out that there is a new function in PayPal--withdraw. And I checked it, really, there is a new tab name withdraw.

The new feature allow us to transfer PayPal value into our credit card, or debit card, with a few conditions. 2 days ago, I sent an e-mail to PayPal, and this is what she replied this morning:

Totally understand that you want to know more information about the new feature to withdraw PayPal balance ,right ?

Now ,if you have a credit or debit card on your PayPal account which displays the Visa logo and you'd like to withdraw funds from your PayPal balance to your card, here's what you need to do:

Click the 'Withdraw' subtab.
Click 'Transfer funds to your card'.
Fill in the required boxes.
Click 'Continue'.

Note:
Due to local regulations and issuing bank guidelines, it's not possible to withdraw funds to all credit/debit cards. **(I need to reconfirm this line)

For non US account withdrawal, one need to pay USD 5 for 1 transaction service, and about 5~7 business days to process it. I really feel so excited, as I don't need to sell my value somewhere else with 3.3 or less rate, haha!

As it still charged a fee, so it is wiser to withdraw a huge amount than 10 USD in 1 time.

HcFoo, one of my blogger friend, is a big fan of the world class tennis player, Rafael Nadal. By end of this year, an international tennis match will be held in Malaysia(Visit Malaysia Year 2007!!!) in Malaysia Independence Tennis Festival, and she is going to meet her idol!!

Haiyo, if you never heard before, quit blogging sphere la! Just kidding. IF you never heard of it, I will tell you how cool is it.

Why I missed that opportunities? All the winner won RM 50! But now, I still have chance to earn a little bit, by writing about this, not much, just about RM 20 only. Malaysian can again receive money from PayPal

Previous days, I busy moving my stuff from Melaka MMU Campus to Cyberjaya Campus. My new house is cool, and cold.(no direct sunshine onto the wall of my house).

But what I write today is not because of my new house, is because after 4 days didn't try to accept my payment from PayPal, today I found that PayPal recover the stupid error and Malaysian can again receive money online! Wow!(Maybe a lot of people knew that, just 4 days didn't online made me outdated...)

There are 6 payment pending in that mantainance period, all during that period, my mood to write sponsored post significantly bad, and don't feel like want to write. But now, I feel like want to write more and make get myself some cool stuff!

Windows Vista Ultimate with Home Premium price?

I want a new PC! I posted a budget add up for my new PC at here, and now, I found another good offer to upgrade my OS from Home Premium to Ultimate, without adding additional budget. The price is RM600 cheaper than current market price, it is at eBay.

Yes, when talk about eBay, most people will say: the shipping cost is so expensive! Some say: You sure? You thrust the seller?

But those are not the main concern of mine, what I concern is the compatibility of the OS in Malaysia.

Different SKU code
Windows Vista Ultimate Edition that manufactured from United States has a SKU code: 66R-00002, and label that wrote: For distribute in United States and Canada only.

Windows Vista Ultimate Edition that manufactured in Singapore(which export worldwide), has a SKU code 66R-00020, and label Intl (International).

I worry that there are certain license problem, which not allow me to do this and that.

I search for all the forums, blogs, but can't find any relevant answer. Some said can be installed and activate and use it like normal. I e-mailed Microsoft, they don't reply. Seems like no one actually bother about that problem.

So, who ever read this post, can you please answer my questions, if you have any answers in your mind? Thank you.

1. Is it the same?
2. Can I activate and use it like normal in Malaysia?
3. Any restriction?

Update:
Yesterday, I phone to Microsoft Malaysia support center, and the operator told me that as long as the copy is genuine, we can activate the windows wherever we want, no geographical restriction, and can use all the functions like normal.

Yeah Yeah! I accepted the payment from PayPal!

After a few weeks of trying and finding truth, at last, today I got my debit card, reloaded with RM100 in the bank, and came back to verify my PayPal!

Before this, I can't accept the amount, my debit card numbers kept rejected by PayPal, because there is no any fund inside that card. For your information, PayPal will charge USD1.95 to send a 4 characters pin to you on your next statement to get verified, so you can only proceed when your card has that amount of money(USD1.95, that's why I need to reload the card first)

Currently, I already accept the payments, without completely verify my identity, as I need to wait for my next statement.

I recustomize my budget on my new desktop PC, yahoo!

Last time(17 January, 2007), I virtually customized my own PC, and set the budget below RM5k. And during that time, most components are in high price, but now, all dropped, and I decide to recustomize it.

Now, although price dropped, new technology came out. This force me to upgrade my customization. Now, I list out all the components that I want, survey market, and I got this new price:

Now, the budget cost up to RM4805 only, although price dropped on parts, but my total amount increased, because I upgrade my budget for speaker, desktop set, motherboard, monitor, and power supply, besides that, I also include other parts that not included in the previous customization, like casing and graphic card. However, thanks to the price drop of Intel Processor on 22 April, 2007, which cut down my budget around RM300.

Why I upgrade all the component?
Ya, why? Actually, all these upgrade is not for gaming, is I hope to learn more about technical knowledge of desktop PC like overclocking, fix and build a desktop PC myself, diagnostic and troubleshoot hardware problems, and hope it won't outdate in 4 years. To do this, need a high end PC.

Intel Processor: from E6400 to E6420
During this 3 months period, I though about change my processor from E6400 into more high end E6600, which cost RM1130 before price drop(which now left RM700), but the only feature that I not satisfy with E6400 is the Cache size only 2MB. Now, Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 came out with cheaper price, same spec with E6400, just upgrade the cache to 2MBx2, while the clock speed can be overcome by overclock it, moreover, I am not a gamer, sure I change the target to it.

Why Retail Vista?
Emm, actually I prefer Ultimate Edition or Business Edition, but it's too expensive. The reason to choose Retail instead of OEM is because I may play around the features on different PC and if something goes wrong, I need to reformat the PC several times, which OEM can't do. To understand more on the different of OEM and Retail, see my previous post. Don't call me rich bastard just because I plan to buy original la... I am not a bastard la... Just I know what is right, what is wrong, and responsibility, and also a little bit money from my saving...

PayPerPost resend the money to me!

Previously, I wrote a sponsored post entitled Get Paid to review my post at my another blog. Very happy when first received the payment from PayPerPost, to my PayPal account.

Need to Verify!?
However, that time I just realized that I need to verify my PayPal account as I am an international PayPal user. So I spent almost 4 weeks to apply a PB Bank Visa Electron, after I received the inform letter, I quickly called to PB service center to collect information for my card, like pin numbers and so on.

Another unlucky thing happen. Public Bank's connection with PayPal is facing an offline error, and the fixing progress still work until today, since 19 April. Means that I can't verify my account too.

My First USD10 gone!
Because I already exceed PayPal 30 days payment accept/deny period, so the fund was returned to PayPerPost. That time was so sad, my first money from Internet gone like that... Suddenly, I thought of request it again from PayPerPost.

PayPerPost resend the fund to me!
This morning when I check my mail, ha! Mails from both PayPerPost and PayPal in my mail! I quickly read through it:

Thank you for contacting us.  Your $10.00 payment has been reissued to your PayPal account.

Yesterday night, I sign in to my Gmail, and I saw 2 mails from PayPerPost. I feel so excited when I saw the title of the mail: "PayPerPost pay out opportunity_post 69284".

Yes! I have received my first payment from PayPerPost! 30 days ago, I wrote a post about "Get Paid to Review Me", and after published for 30 days, I got my first USD10 from blogging! The post is at my first blog, The Fifth Dimension.

Now another problem...
I quickly log in into my PayPal account, and saw the unclaimed amount. Without hesitate, I just click on the "Accept" button. But, that's not that easy... I need to have a Credit Card account so I can accept money... Before PayPerPost pull back the offer in 30 days, I had to figure out how to get that money...

Do you all know about Ping.BlogsMalaysia.com?

Everyday when I check my traffic sources, most of it will redirect from PetalingStreet.org, and some from other sites. However, links from search is the less, I remember someone said: "As we all know, most of our traffic came from search engine." ,But I say, that's true only if your blog can stand at the top 10 result of the search, but how many can do it?

Last month, I found another ping blog service, call Ping.BlogsMalaysia.com, and since that day, I ping on both PetalingStreet and BlogsMalaysia. But until 1 month later, or today, the traffic from BlogsMalaysia is still so less! 1 site can direct 60 visitors, another just 1 visitor, or 0.

Quite sad to see the result. Both are providing the same services, but BlogsMalaysia was too young to compete with PetalingStreet, as it just in testing stage. How good if all bloggers ping on both services, and make the traffic of their sites increase dramatically?

Please help that pinging service survive.

Now I found the way to add Adsense in New Blogger Post, correctly.

I think this post is quite funny, as I can see most bloggers out there already know how to add Adsense code into their template, but most of it is Wordpress and Old Blogger.... For New Blogger, the solution is still not enough and quite troublesome. I tried a thousand times with thousands of methods and tricks, but still can't embed my Adsense code successfully in my blog.

At last, I found it!
Now I can add my Adsense under my post title with no error and displaying correct color, here is the way I found on How to Earn Money Blogging, combined with Blogger Digest, and here is the 2 in 1 perfect solution.

• Login into you New Blogger account, select layout from the dashboard.
• Select Edit HTML from the tabs, and check Expand Widgets Templates checkbox.
• search for this code:

• Now, copy your Adsense code and paste it exactly under the code above, you're almost there.
• You can try to save your project, and view it on your blog. Is it display correctly? Or the color changed? Or not even appear?
• Ok, back to the Edit HTML page, don't forget to check the Expand Widget Template checkbox, and search for the code that you added just now.
• easy step, search for the <!-- code and //--> code in the Adsense code.
• Replace <!-- with &lt;!--
• Replace //--> with //--&gt;
• Save it, and done.

Chitika is not profitable in Malaysia

Week ago, I found a new online advertiser, its Chitika. From my first impression, I believe Chitika can really bring revenue for me, because of its colorful ads with graphic added. But, after I use Chitika for a week, the report there never record any click!! Then I try myself to click on the ads once. Until the second day, I check my report again, the click is still 0. I immediately sent an email to Chitika and they respond quite fast, but the answer disappointed me.... Here is the respond by Chitika:

The reason your click did not register is that you live in an unsupported country. We only accept clicks from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, UK, and The United States. Any users from those countries that click an eMiniMall will register a click.
