VHanded need a new skin.

This blog is 1 year and 9 months old, and only changed the template once only.

The Stupid Cat and Mice, although I like it a lot, but fee like want to change a new template(skin) to suit myself at current stage.

No time to design, but will do it, stay tune~

VHanded is PR2 now!

Realize that I stop writing s-p-o-n-s-o-r-e-d  p-o-s-t?

Just because my blog was growing too slow to catch up with PPP popularity. While my blog still PR (N/A), they already targeting PR1 and above.

So, after I earn enough money to get my skates, I quit, temporary or permanently I not sure, so I just make this a pure blog, write what I like.

After I reformatted my PC, I didn't install Google Toolbar, and forgot about monitoring my PageRank. Until today, I install a plugin from Firefox extension website, then I found that my blog was PR2!!

Miracle!
From the history of monitoring it, it remains PR(N/A) for a year,  P/R 0 for a month, then continue PR(N/A). I sick of it, assume Google blacklisted me, which I also not sure what is the reason. For your information, my blog is 1 and half years old.

Triple Confirm
From www.prchecker.info, pr.blogflux.com, www.digpagerank.com, all return PR2. I know Google won't do that to me~

Thanks to all visitors and bloggers and friends and anonymous that make this happen~! I know a lot of sites out there already ranked PR 3 or 4, sorry for my overreacting here, I am just over excited with this sudden score.

Time is fast, so fast 1 year passed, and my blog is now 1 year old.  I don't know how other people threat their blog, but I threat her as a growing baby~ ang gu gu~

Happy Birthday to VHanded.blogspot.com, in this 1 year, I have a lot of happiness, sadness, complains, thoughts, show offs, all I share with you, and thanks for being so understanding to listen to me all the time and not interrupting and feel boring.

Although sometimes you are little naughty, not show up some photos, but I know that's not all your fault, is the Bad Boy Streamyx who taught you to do so, right?

My Summary of 2007

So fast, just a close of eyes, 1 year or 365 days, passed. This year is not very very remarkable year, as some of my wishes not yet achieve. However, it's consider the highest achievement I been.

Here goes the Train, from January to December...

1. January, VHanded.blogspot.com was born, while her successor, VHanded.space.live.com was abandoned, due to it's low flexibility towards customisation and control. My blog is not yet 1 year old!
2. Windows Vista Launch, I joined that Vista Hunt event at LowYat Plaza, with team name Bill Gate's Son, although not winning anything, but our team's name seems to be the hot topic~
3. Trinite 2007: The Last Temptation, a very high cost prom night organize by MMU's club and society, and I am a small working comm in there. Due to certain ass hole people in this event, I grew stronger and smarter and knowing my own weakness. Still need to thanks to him.
4. MMU Vista Launch, in MMU Melaka Campus, again, the event's director make me learn that: don't be a loser and cocky like him!
5. I went to the first PC Fair in my life! At KLCC, and realise that how crowded is this city.
6. I received my first income from blogging, very happy!
7. My first birthday Cake since 6 years old, I think, thanks to my roommate Tjun Kit and my gang in campus... So touch, but that day I was not happy...
8. June is the first month I move to Cyberjaya Campus after study at Melaka for Foundation for 1 year. Then I realise, Cyberjaya's living cost is so so high... I can't breath!
9. The first time I broadcast my voice to the world, thanks to MMU DJ Club, I got the chance to be a on-air DJ. I admit that I am not a professional DJ, mainly due to my deep voice and style, but I very thankful to let me this opportunity to know myself and enjoy~
10. Malaysia 50th Independent Day Celebration, I am one of the marching member~ Represent PIKOM, and earn RM100 allowance. This is the first time I put attention to Merdeka celebration and towards national affair.
11. Putrajaya Boulevard Skate is so fun! This is the first time I been there to skate with Su, Hao, and Kok. I started to addict to inline skating.
12. This is not directly related to me, but Al Gore win the Nobel Peace Prize, of course I very happy! As an environmentalist, this is a good encouragement to all of us on this planet, to love our only house before too late.
13. My new dream machine! I name him HungryPC, a cute name, but I don't do downloading with him(I respect privacy~)
14. Christmas Eve at Bintang make me hate KL more. some of the moralless place(and people) make me sick...
15. My new Wife! Is actually a Seba Skate, but this is just the beginning of Slalom Skates.

New Year 2008 should be much much better than this year, and have to. Glad that my whole family and friends are in good and healthy condition now, and all the time~

I have a simple New Year wish, and I realise only me and her can make this happen...

Integrity in your words.

Recently, one of my post in this blog caused a misunderstood. Not to mention about the details, but this caught my attention before use some sensitive words. Here are some example of sensitive words:

1. love, like
2. hate, dislike
3. scold, remind
4. angry, frustrated
5. ......

Hope next time won't do the same mistake again.

Add FeedFlare under your post.

Yesterday, Sestri ask me how to add a "Digg This! • Save to del.icio.us • Email this • Submit To Netscape" links under every link, I don't know what this link call, so I call it FeedFlare.

I don't know how other's bloggers add their links under their post, but I use it through FeedBurner's service. Here is the easy method:

• Go to www.FeedBurner.com, and insert your blog's URL into the space, and click Next. You aren't a podcaster, right?
• Choose either Atom or RSS format(both are almost same). Those are subscription format, see my previous post about RSS.
• Register, or sign in to your account to claim your feed, enter valid username and password and click "Activate Feed".
• OK, now login(if you are not login yet) and click on your Feed Title.
• To add FeedFlare, go to Optimize tab, and look for FeedFlare from left sidebar.
  
• Thick whatever you like to display below you post.
  
• arrange the sequence by drag and drop.
  
• Then, click Save and get the HTML code.

Now, sign in to Blogger account, and follow the instruction from the pop up window that appear when you choose Blogger from the get HTML drop down menu.

Relax, it's easy. I think this tutorial is quite clear, if don't understand, leave a comment.

A stat report of The 1 Months old Blog

Time passing fast, January passed. I started this blog from 4 January 2007, and now she already 1 month old. Of course, as most young webmaster do, I will install script from 3rd parties to track down my blog's performance.

www.StatCounter.com
I started the Statcounter account from 17 January 2007, and currently I have 684 page loads, 597 Unique visitors, and 537 first time visitors. I love this statistics counter, as it provide an instant result when some reader visit my blog.

www.FeedBurner.com
From the name, I believe most people can guess the function. Yes, Feed Burner provide feed services. To understand what is feed, visit my previous post, Without RSS, you're Outdated!!!. Another services provided by feedburner is a quite complete statistic counter. From the same starting day as StatCounter, I recorded 405 Unique visitors, and 30 pages view per day in average.

Some additional function from Feed Burner that make me more understanding my reader were provided, like the top internet browser, the top language setting, the top Operating System, and the top screen size that used by my readers.

Here is the result:

1024X768, what a popular screen resolution setting! Of course, most people just using 15 or 17 inches monitor only.

This is a result that most people out there will guessed. English is the primary language to communicate in this virtual world.

Now for the browser. As you can see, Firefox is the best browser used by my readers to read my blog, it's 242 out of 406, or 60%. But I believe this phenomenon is just happen in blogger's world, as most internet users in my university computer labs are using Internet Explorer.

The data shows that Windows XP is the most popular OS, while MAC OS X users are quite low, just 10 users out of 450. But this is not accurate enough, as most of my readers are just from Malaysia.

For this section, I don't have much to write, as my blog is still not strong enough to generate revenue, but I already start planning, and hope before I graduate the first year in this June, I can generate 199 USD to buy myself an iPod Nano(I know this is a small amount, don't laugh la!) While the Chitika that I used for 1 week was canceled, as it wont generate any cent for me, read my previous post Chitika is not profitable in Malaysia.

From Windows Live Spaces to Blogger

I think for about 5 minutes before start this 'First' blog.
Since 2005 May, I had been writing blog using MSN Spaces. (Currently know as Windows Live Spaces) All my sweet and sour experience, and some techie stuff were recorded and blogged in the spaces. Her name is The Fifth Dimension, But now, I had made my mind to move my main blog site to Blogger....

Why?
I think most bloggers out there know the reason. Blogger looks more professional as a blogging tools, compared to Windows Live Spaces that looks more like a diary, or entertainment platform. Other than that, Windows Live Spaces cant let me easily track down the traffic of my blog(there is a way actually, but very troublesome). By using Alexa to track the traffic, Alexa just record down the whole Live Spaces User's traffic, and not my single site's traffic. The first time I saw the data: walao! my site so popular?!

Freedom to edit it.
In the 1 and half years of Live Spaces blogging experience, I always face difficult to edit some entry with HTML code. Due to security reason, some HTML and javascript cannot be use in the Spaces, I even can't host a video from YouTube in my blog. The HTML template was also irritating, can someone tell me, 900 characters enough for certain HTML code?

Financial Benefit
This is a factor that drew my attention. Previously when I using Live Spaces, I cant add advertisement, like Adsense, into my blog. The only service that Live Spaces provide is Kanoodle, quite irritating too, a lots of stupid questions and rules.

Is Live Spaces really sucks?
NO, although Live Spaces' function and controllability are limited, but 1 thing i like about Live Spaces is when I update my blog, it will automatic add a star beside my contact in Live Messenger, this will notify other contact to view my updates.

So how about the Live Spaces?
For now, I will keep working on both blogs, but I will put more effort on this blog, most of my exploration and story will put in this blog. A little bit disappointed, because my Live Spaces just approved by PayPerPost yesterday!


This blog will look a bit messy, I will rearrange it when I am free, currently is exam week. Bye!
